Great beer, thoughtful food
Our Story
The McLaughlin and Greer families established Caboose Brewing Company on May 5, 2015, in Vienna, VA. The name references a historic red caboose and the W&OD railroad line running through Vienna. The families sought to revitalize remnants of the town's industrial past, similar to the Rails to Trails movement.
Our first brewpub in Vienna was originally dreamed up so that we could walk to a small-town pub, enjoy delicious food and beverage with friends, and walk back home. That vision — rooted in community and simplicity — guides everything we do.
A second location, Caboose Commons, opened in September 2018 in Fairfax as a coffee house and brewery hybrid in a massive converted tool rental facility in the Mosaic District. The same community-focused values that built Caboose Tavern live on at Caboose Commons.
We strive to create a space that uplifts and supports a flourishing, diverse community.
We support local businesses and charities, and partner with our neighbors to build a stronger community in Vienna and Fairfax.
We ensure guests and employees feel safe, valued, and welcomed. Our doors are open to everyone, and we celebrate diversity in all forms.
From our award-winning beers to our farm-to-table food, we are committed to quality ingredients and thoughtful execution in everything we serve.
Great Service, wonderful atmosphere, good beers, ciders and wines, plus the food was more than delicious, but also beautifully presented and a lovely blend of flavors.
Come for the delicious beer and stay for the amazing food! I come pretty regularly and always have great food. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best I've eaten.
For a brewery!? the food is amazing! Completely unexpected. As a foodie I was more than impressed. Locally sourced and from scratch offerings.
